Lovin Dubai Turns 9: A Look at Our Journey and What's Next

On September 1st, 2015, Lovin Dubai launched its first article, marking the beginning of an incredible journey. Since then, we’ve published over 18,000 articles and 20,000 Instagram posts, expanded to 22 cities, and launched 20 podcasts, 7 Arabic Snapchat shows, and two thriving channels: Smashi Sports and Smashi Business.

Our team has grown to over 110 people, managing 240 social channels. Lovin Cairo alone saw 3 million Instagram impressions last month! With the rise of AI and increasing competition, we remain focused on expanding our reach while staying agile in this fast-paced media landscape.

As we continue to grow, we’re excited for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

📱 All Things Content

 Lovin Saudi continues to lead the digital space, reaching 1.19M followers in August 2024. On Instagram, we hit a 6.4M reach, 1.3M interactions, and 29.3M video views, with a standout video reaching 1.4M views. Key clients like STA, Mirinda, and Swiss Butter trust us to deliver impactful content. Lovin Riyadh is also growing fast, with 376K followers and Instagram numbers showing a 5.6M reach and 791K interactions. We’ve worked with brands like STA and Pepsi x Black Tap to create top-performing campaigns. Over in Cairo, Lovin Cairo hit 3M Instagram reach, nearly 80K followers, and 11M TikTok views this month, gaining 10K new followers. The LIVE Lovin Cairo Show is a hit with 45K viewers and a flood of engagement. We also launched a fresh daily newsletter, keeping our audience informed. Smashi Sports is sharing snippets from past season games, warming up for the GCC’s new sports season. Finally, The Lovin Dubai Show brought Real Housewives stars Sara Al Madani and Saba Youssef for in-studio interviews, generating huge engagement across our platforms.

Strengthening Our Commercial Team

We have been actively developing and enhancing our commercial offering across the region. This summer, we welcomed three new Commercial Directors to our team:

  • Dubai: Heading up ODEUM, our content-first digital media agency, which continues to drive innovative strategies across the MENA region.

  • Qatar: Leading our Doha office, spearheading partnerships and driving commercial success in the local market.

  • KSA: Overseeing our Saudi office, expanding our footprint and strengthening client relationships in the Kingdom.

ODEUM's Landmark Achievement

We are proud to announce the launch of the Heart of Rak platform, which went live this month. This marks a significant milestone in our partnership journey and further reinforces our commitment to delivering cutting-edge digital solutions.

  • Signed a partnership with KMS to manage Lovin Kuwait, expanding our presence in Kuwait.

  • Established a media partnership with 971 Football Academy, further strengthening our ties to influential local communities.

  • Attended the Untold Festival in Romania to commemorate our ongoing partnership with the festival.

  • Lovin Dubai and Smashi Sports were media partners at Danub Sports World: On ground assets for Lovin Dubai were placed during the event. In return social posts were published on Lovin Dubai’s socials.

  •  Lovin Abu Dhabi media partner at Cirque Dreams: Lovin Abu Dhabi had on ground assets in return Lovin Abu Dhabi published an article and competition post on Lovin Abu Dhabi’s Instagram account.

Augustus Media and KMS establish strategic partnership to elevate Lovin Kuwait, expanding regional Influence: Under the agreement, KMS will be the exclusive media seller and reseller for Lovin Kuwait, utilizing its extensive knowledge and network in the local market to boost growth and engagement.
